Chandler Estates is a neighborhood in Sherman Oaks California originally part of Van Nuys until 1991 when 2000 homeowners petitioned the city Council to re-create the western boundary from Coldwater Canyon to Van Nuys Blvd. and the northern boundaries from Magnolia to Burbank. The petition was granted and 80 blocks of Chandler Estates was officially recognized as part of Sherman Oaks. This upscale neighborhood offers established homes, landscape, and well manicured front lawns. The central location is close to shopping, transportation, freeways, markets, and other services.

Chandler Estates is a six square block neighborhood centered around Chandler Boulevard just north of the Ventura Freeway. It stretches from Van Nuys Blvd. to about Fulton Blvd., Burbank Boulevard south to W. Magnolia Blvd. Within this small community our shops and restaurants, the Chandler elementary school, markets, and if you eateries up on Burbank Boulevard such as Nat’s Early Bite, Carl’s Jr., the Klickin’ Chicken, Subway, and Ireland’s 32. The rest of the community is residential.

Home prices in Chandler Estates start at about $900,000 up to $2.1 million. You’ll find a few smaller homes less than $700,000 but the majority of properties are right around the $1.2 million mark. You’ll find single-family homes, a couple of condominiums, newer homes, and properties that were built in the 1950s onward. There are no homeowner association dues on just about every home in Chandler Estates and because of its central location, it makes a great place to call home for those that worked just outside of Sherman Oaks with easy access to the Ventura Freeway.
