The Redwing Neighborhood of Woodland Hills

The Redwing neighborhood is actually located just south of Ventura Boulevard and Ventura Freeway in Woodland Hills on Redwing Street. This short neighborhood sits just behind the Woodland Hills Market and all the amenities and conveniences along Ventura Boulevard. It’s a collection of less than 2 to 3 dozen homes primarily built in the 1950s to the 1990s. You’ll find a few properties that were restructured or remodeled within the last 5 to 10 years.

Most slots are around one quarter to one third of an acre and convenience is really the key here. Residents are no more than a block or two to all of the services and amenities they would need on Ventura Boulevard with easy access to the Ventura Freeway at Winnetka Avenue. At this intersection, you’ll find a couple of condominium/apartment buildings, and homes tucked into uniquely shaped lots all along Redwing Street. Nearly every home has a backyard pool. The street ends along Melvin Avenue a cul-de-sac. The streets of Corbin, Oakdale, Pennfield and Quakertown Avenue all head north and south to Ventura Boulevard.

Residents have access to the Wilbur charter school for Enriched Academy, Woodland Hills charter Academy, the Taft Senior high school less than ½ a mile away, and several other excellent schools.

Homes are typically priced between $1 million and $3.5 million based on condition and size. Again, location is key in the Redwing neighborhood. For more information on Redwing homes for sale and all real estate in the Redwing neighborhood of Woodland Hills, contact my office at any time.
